Meet Cindy Fischbach, Owner
With over 27 years of physical therapy experience, Cindy Fishbach has been transforming lives through innovative treatment methods that get to the root cause of pain and dysfunction. Cindy graduated with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 1997. After beginning her career in Abilene, Texas, she and her family moved around the country due to her husband Karl’s service in the Air Force, before finally settling in Duluth, MN, drawn by its beauty and outdoor lifestyle.
In 2009, Cindy was introduced to Strain Counterstrain while living in Washington State. This groundbreaking technique evolved into what is now known as Fascial Counterstrain, a highly specialized method of fascia release that addresses the body’s complex networks of connective tissues. Since 2011, Cindy has pursued advanced certifications in Fascial Counterstrain, making her one of the few practitioners in the country offering this highly effective, gentle treatment.

Why Choose Fascial Counterstrain?
Cindy’s approach is holistic—she looks at the body as an interconnected system. Her goal is to help patients optimize recovery and return to their active lives by treating not just the symptoms but the underlying causes of dysfunction. Using Fascial Counterstrain, she improves overall mobility and function by targeting the body's fascia, which can often contribute to pain, infection, and disease.
Why Choose Fascial Counterstrain? Fascial Counterstrain is a manual therapy technique that works by gently slackening the body’s fascia to relieve pain and tension, normalize nerve function, and restore mobility. This non-invasive method targets the body’s connective tissue, releasing protective spasms in muscles, nerves, and organs. The results? Improved strength, reduced pain, and better overall function across multiple systems, including digestive, musculoskeletal, and physiological health.
Cindy’s Motto: "Wellness in Motion"
Cindy believes that for the body to function optimally, all systems need to be in motion. Her practice is dedicated to restoring balance and helping patients achieve long-lasting mobility and enjoyment in all areas of life.
“In order for your body to function optimally, all systems need to be in motion””
